Autumn Crown Tournament
A weekend event where people spend time in medieval theme, dressed up and doing a variety of activities. The most important part of the event is the Crown Tournament, where the future rulers of the Drachenwald Kingdom are determined, but the weekend also includes much more, such as performances, a court, feasts, crafts, singing, dancing, archery, sauna bathing, and more. Everyone is welcome to join!

Note! Even if the event is otherwise full, 10 places are reserved for the fighters and inspirers of the Crown Tournament fighters and inspirations until August 1, 2026.
All the beds for the event are currently fully booked (though we can still accommodate Crown Tournament participants+Inspirers if needed). There is still room for day visitors. The situation is likely to change due to cancellations and other factors, so it is worth joining the waiting list.

Syyskruununturnaus
Viikonlopputapahtuma missä keskiaikahengessä vietetään aikaa pukuillen monenlaisen tekemisen parissa. Tärkein osa tapahtumaa on Kruununturnaus, missä Drachenwaldin kuningaskunnalle mitellään tulevat hallitsijat, mutta viikonloppuun mahtuu myös paljon muuta kuten esityksiä, hovi, pidot, käsitöitä, laulua, tanssia, jousiammuntaa, saunomista ynnä muuta. Kaikki ovat tervetulleita mukaan!

Huom! Vaikka tapahtuma muuten täyttyisi Kruununturnajaisten taistelijoille ja innoittajille on varattuna 10 paikkaa 1.8.2026 asti.
Tapahtuman sänkypaikat ovat tällä hetkellä täynnä (kruununturnaajia/innoittajia sovitamme yhä mukaan tarvittaessa). Päiväkävijöitä mahtuu yhä. Tilanne varmasti vielä elää peruutusten ynnä muun myötä, joten kannattaa ilmoittautua jonoon.

Lots of space but a bit scattered +middle of nowhere,
car or ride is needed.
We try to help with the rides if needed (small fee).
Seven different buildings offer accommodation for about 100 people. In addition, there is plenty of space for tents, if camping inspires you. Please note that the autunm of Aarnimetsä may not be very warm.
The event has two central locations – the main hall and the tournament field – which are not located right next to each other, nor in the immediate vicinity of all accommodations.
How to get there?
The site can’t be reached with the puclic transport, so car of lift is needed.
Driving directions From Turku, take the Turku-Helsinki highway no. 1 to the Sauvo/Kemiö road no. 181, drive past the center of Sauvo for about 3 km, turn left at the Rajalahti fork, drive approx. 1 km, turn right towards Rajalahti, drive approx. 6 km and turn left onto the Ampola and Ahtela road, drive straight for 2.5 km and the Ahtela camp center is on the right.
At the Site, you can drive to the mainhall building (the first big building you come across) and go inside the hall to visit info to register, and you will get e.g. information about your accommodation. There is space for cars to stop at the accommodation places to bring stuff and at least some parking space nearby. Pay attention to safety when driving in the area, there may be pedestrians in the traffic and the emergency routes must be kept open.

Paljon tilaa, mutta hiukan hajanaisesti + keskellä ei-mitään, auto tai kyyti tarpeen.
Pyrimme auttamaan kyydeissä (pieni lisämaksu).
Majoituspaikkoja löytyy seitsemästä eri rakennuksesta noin sadalle henkilölle. Lisäksi paikalla on runsaasti tilaa teltoille, jos telttailu innostaa. Huomioithan että Aarnimetsän syksy saattaa olla melkoisen viileäkin.
Tapahtumassa on kaksi keskuspaikkaa – pääsali ja turnajaiskenttä – mitkä eivät sijaitse aivan vierekkäin, eivätkä kaikkien majoitusten välittömässä läheisyydessä.
Kuinka paikalle pääsee:
Paikalle ei pääse julkisilla kulkuvälineillä, oma auto tai kyyti on siis tarpeen.
Ajo-ohjeTurusta 25 km Turku-Helsinki –valtatietä nro 1 Sauvon/Kemiön tielle nro 181, aja Sauvon keskustan ohi noin 3 km, käänny vasemmalle Rajalahden tienhaarasta, aja n. 1 km, käänny oikealle Rajalahteen päin, aja n. 6 km ja käänny vasemmalle Ampolan ja Ahtelan tielle, aja suoraan 2,5 km ja Ahtelan leirikeskus on oikealla.
Tapahtumapaikalla voit ajaa salirakennuksen luo (ensimmäinen vastaantuleva rakennus) ja käy salissa sisällä Tullissa (=Info) ilmoittautumassa niin saat mm. tiedon majoituspaikastasi. Majoituspaikkojen luona on tilaa tuoda tavaraa ja ainkain lähistöllä jonkin verran parkitilaa. Huomioi alueella ajaessasi turvallisuus, liikkeellä saattaa olla kävelijöitä ja pelastustiet on pidettävä avoinna.

Necessaries
Remember to register for the event and pay on time (or agree on a payment) and arrange a ride to the event.
For the event, you need accommodation supplies (sheets & pillowcase), personal necessities (such as medicines, etc.), medieval clothes (outer clothes depending on the weather) and dishes for eating. Please let us know if you want to borrow something.
The event has ready tablecloths and plenty of LED candles on the tables in the hall. Of course, you can also bring your own LED candles and lanterns if you wish. Real fire/candles must not be used!
Detergents (soap, shampoo) are available in the showers and sauna. Toothpaste, hand sanitizer, washing-up liquid & brushes and small consumables such as earplugs, safety pins, etc. are available at the main building.
In the Main hall, there are some craft tools + threads and medieval board games for everyone to use freely.
Encounters
It is great to meet old friends at the event, but also to find new acquaintances. We encourage everyone to talk to others, help, guide and encourage in a good way.
Not everyone may be ready for a hug and some may want a little more space of their own. We ask that everyone’s boundaries be respected.
Everyone is welcome to help make the event happen. While helping, you might also get to know new people in a nice way. However, “just being there” is also completely allowed – the event should be comfortable for everyone. =)
If the hustle and bustle of the hall burdens you too much, please take a breather outside, in an accommodation cabin, or come and tell the event stewards Kaarina or Susanna – We will try to find a quiet place where you can breathe.
We also remind you that:
“SUOMEN KESKIAIKASEURA (Finnish medieval society) PROHIBITS BULLYING, DISCRIMINATION AND HARASSMENT OF ALL INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS. Such action will lead to investigation and appropriate sanctions. If you face harassment, bullying or revenge, or if you notice someone being harassed or bullied, contact the event’s harassment contact person or the main organizer, or the Aarnimetsä or the cantons seneschal.”
Välttämättömyydet
Muista ilmoittautua tapahtumaan ja maksaa ajoissa (tai sopia maksusta) sekä järjestä kyyti paikalle.
Tapahtumaan tarvitset mukaan majoitustarvikkeet (lakanat &tyynyliina), henkilökohtaiset asiat (kuten lääkkeet etc.), keskiaikavaatteet (ulkovaatteet sään mukaan) ja astiat syömistä varten. Kerro, jos tarvitset jotain vaatteita tai tarvikkeita lainaan.
Tapahtumassa on valmiiksi pöytäliinat ja reilusti led-kynttilöitä salin pöydillä. Omia led-kynttilöitä ja lyhtyjä saa toki myös halutessan tuoda. Oikeaa tulta /kynttilöitä ei saa käyttää!
Suihkuissa ja saunalla on valmiina pesuaineet (saippua, shampoo). Hammastahnaa, käsiendesiniointiainetta, tiskiainetta & -harjoja ja pieniä käyttötavaroita kuten korvatulppia, hakaneuloja jne on tarjolla.
Salista löytyy joitakin käsityövälineitä +lankoja sekä keskiaikaisia lautapelejä kaikkien vapaaseen käyttöön.
Kohtaamisia
Tapahtumassa on mahtavaa kohdata vanhoja ystäviä mutta myös löytää uusia tuttavia. Kannustamme kaikkia juttelemaan muiden kanssa, auttamaan, ohjaamaan ja kannustamaan hyvässä mielessä.
Kaikki eivät ehkä ole valmiita halaamiseen ja osa saattaa haluta hiukan isompaa omaa tilaa. Pyydämme kunnioittamaan kaikkien rajoja.
Kaikki ovat tervetulleita auttamaan tapahtuman teossa. Auttaessa saattaa myös tutustua uusiin ihmisiin mukavalla tavalla. ”Vain paikalla oleminen” on kuitenkin myös täysin sallittua – tapahtuman tulisi olla kaikille mukava. =)
Jos salin hälinä ja hulina kuormittaa liiaksi, kannattaa käydä hengittämässä välillä ulkona, majoitusmökissä tai tulla sanomaan järjestäjille Kaarinalle tai Susannalle – pyrimme keksimään rauhallisen paikan missä hengähtää.
Muistutamme myös että:
